Harry Kettle - June 15, 2021

Georges St-Pierre has revealed what he did to create million-dollar payouts for himself during the height of his UFC run. Back in the noughties, the UFC was in the midst of an elite welterweight surge – and the one man who sat at the top of that mountain was GSP. He was able to see off the challenge of every competitor he fought, avenging his only two defeats to Matt Hughes and Matt Serra.

Georges St-Pierre explains why it would "be a mistake" for Jon Jones to accept fight with Stipe Miocic

Adam D Martin - June 4, 2021

UFC Hall of Famer Georges St-Pierre explained why it would “be a mistake” for Jon Jones to accept a heavyweight fight against Stipe Miocic. Jones has been involved in a messy public contract negotiation with the UFC for the last few months concerning a superfight against UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou. The original plan was for Jones to fight Ngannou for the heavyweight belt, but when Jones asked for a number too rich for the UFC, the promotion decided to give the title shot to Derrick Lewis instead. With Jones now on the outside looking in, UFC president Dana White has suggested he fight the former champ Miocic, but Jones has said he’s not interested.

Having just turned 40 years old, it really seems like GSP is in the best shape of his life right now, which is incredible to consider since he was one of the poster boys for fit MMA fighters for years. Taking to his social media this week, GSP posted a photo of himself after cutting out the processed food from his diet. You can see the difference as “Rush” looks completely ripped.

Colby Covington says George St-Pierre would have been an "extremely easy fight" for him

Adam D Martin - May 30, 2021

UFC welterweight Colby Covington says that a potential matchup against George St-Pierre would have been an “extremely easy fight” for him. Although GSP is now 40 years old and retired, there have been rumors about him potentially fighting again for the last several years, with the most recent rumblings suggesting a matchup with former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov at a 165lbs catchweight.

Cole Shelton - May 27, 2021

Georges St-Pierre has revealed what the rules would’ve been had he boxed Oscar De La Hoya. After De La Hoya talked about a return he said he wanted to box the best and it was revealed he was set to box St-Piere. However, the UFC and Dana White blocked that from happening which the former welterweight and middleweight champion said was his dream fight. Had the fight happened, however, the rules would’ve been much different as they would’ve boxed two-minute rounds with bigger gloves among other rules.

While so many people in the combat sports industry are down on the Paul brothers as they feel they haven’t put in the work yet, GSP isn’t a “hater.” Instead, GSP praised them for being great athletes, even though he’s still not convinced they can become elite MMA fighters or boxers.

Daniel Cormier on a potential Georges St-Pierre vs. Oscar De La Hoya boxing match: 'It’s too risky for us as a community'

Drake Riggs - May 24, 2021

Daniel Cormier doesn’t like the idea of Georges St-Pierre getting into the boxing scene for a match with Oscar De La Hoya. Unfortunately for St-Pierre, the UFC has put an end to any of those hopes of making the match happen – at least for the time being. The former UFC dual-division champion in Cormier ultimately views that as a good thing as he believes the risk outweighs the reward when it comes to the Canadian icon’s legacy.

Adam Martin - May 2, 2021

UFC legend GSP remembered his title fight main event against Jake Shields at UFC 129 a decade after it happened. At the time, UFC 129 on April 30, 2011, was the biggest event in UFC history as over 55,000 fans packed Rogers Centre completely full in Toronto, Ontario, Canada for a record-setting crowd at the time. It was the first UFC event to take place in Ontario after the province legalized MMA and GSP vs. Shields was the main event. At the time, GSP was the biggest star in the sport while Shields was a credible title challenger coming from Strikeforce. It was expected to be a great main event but the fight didn’t deliver for fans.

Georges St-Pierre explains why the gym is "one of the happiest places and the saddest places" he can go

Adam D Martin - April 9, 2021

UFC legend Georges St-Pierre explained why being in the gym is “one of the happiest places and the saddest places” he can go. St-Pierre has often spoken about his love-hate relationship with MMA. The legend has admitted that the feeling of winning and the riches that come with it were always a draw for him, but he also has spoken very openly about how much stress there is involved with it. Another thing that bothers GSP is the way dreams are made and broken in the gym. Every time he goes to the gym it’s good that he gets to train but it’s hard for GSP at times.

Georges St-Pierre calls Khabib Nurmagomedov the "scariest" pound-for-pound fighter in the world

Adam D Martin - April 8, 2021

UFC legend Georges St-Pierre called former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov the “scariest” pound-for-pound fighter in the world. St-Pierre and Nurmagomedov were widely connected for a potential fight between two of the best to ever do it. When you talk about the greatest fighters in the sport’s history, both GSP and Nurmagomedov are at the top of the list. There was hope that the two fighters would step into the Octagon together, but both men are happily retired and the fight seems like a pipe dream at this point, one of the “what if?” fights that we will never see in MMA.

Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion GSP is training with Tony Ferguson and Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Boxing Club. Ferguson revealed a few weeks ago that he will be training with Roach ahead of his upcoming lightweight bout at UFC 262 against top contender Beneil Dariush. After losing back-to-back fights to Justin Gaethje and Charles Oliveira, Ferguson wanted to mix things up and add to his camp. Working with one of the best boxing coaches in the world in Roach surely helps. As well, it appears as though the UFC legend GSP is also training with the two. In a new photo posted on his Instagram, GSP shared a picture of himself with Roach and Ferguson. GSP has worked with Roach before, but training with Ferguson is new.

Georges St-Pierre believes the UFC doesn't want Khabib Nurmagomedov to go out on top, 'they want a guy to beat him'

Drake Riggs - March 18, 2021

Georges St-Pierre is one of the few fighters in MMA to go out atop the peak of the mountain. Khabib Nurmagomedov recently did the same. Despite the known interest that Nurmagomedov had to reach 30-0 in his career with a victory over the legendary St-Pierre, “The Eagle” instead called it quits at 29-0. With all things considered, the iconic Canada native believes he knows why UFC President Dana White is so reluctant to let Nurmagomedov ride off into the sunset.
