Earlier today UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier made headlines when he came in 1.2 pounds over weight for his UFC 210 title fight rematch with Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.

However, just two minutes after weighing in at 206.2 pounds, Cormier was back on the scales and miraculously weighed in at the title fight limit of 205-pounds.

Cormier’s second weigh in sparked a ton of controversy, as fans, media and fellow fighters were left perplexed as to how the current UFC light heavyweight champion was able to drop over a pound of weight in just 120-seconds.

Adding fuel to the fire was the fact that “DC” appeared to use the privacy towel to offset some of his weight during his second weigh in (Watch that video here).

Cormier defended his use of the towel when questioned by reporters stating the following.

“I mean I didn’t want you guys to see my junk.” Cormier told reporters.

One of the reporters questioned Cormier’s statement by suggesting that he used the towel to his advantage while on the scales.

“To not see my junk? That is your belief (that I was using the towel) not mine.”

Cormier continued:

“What does doing that do? I don’t understand. It’s not something I have done before so I don’t know… No. I just wanted to make sure I didn’t show my junk.”

Cormier’s bitter rival Jon Jones is in Buffalo for this weekend’s big event and spoke to the media about DC’s “dirty” weigh in tactics from earlier today.

“It was absolutely nuts,” Jones said of today’s UFC 210 weigh ins. “I couldn’t believe what I was witnessing!”

The former light heavyweight kingpin, Jones, believes Cormier did in fact use the privacy towel to his advantage this morning adding.

“What a clever trick.”

With that said, Jones did not approve of Cormier’s weigh in tactics as he issued the following bold statement on the matter.

“It was one of the dirtiest things I’ve seen in all of sports!”
