Canelo Alvarez put on a boxing clinic in his most recent fight last month in Las Vegas, schooling Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. with an emphatic performance on route to a unanimous decision victory.

All three of the judges in attendance scored the fight 120-108 in favor of Alvarez.

With the win, Canelo Alvarez improved his overall professional boxing record to an impressive 49-1-1.

Alvarez’s lone career setback came at the hands of Floyd Mayweather, whom he lost to via majority decision in September of 2013.

In the above video, appropriately named “5 Times Canelo Alvarez Took A Boxers Soul”, we see five of Canelo’s most memorable performances.

Following his dominant victory over Chavez Jr, Canelo Alvarez announced that he would be fighting Gennady Golovkin on September 16 for the middleweight championship of the world.

Gennady Golovkin boasts a perfect professional record of 37-0. GGG’s most recent victory came over Daniel Jacobs via unanimous decision in March of 2017.
