Artem Lobov reacts after being slapped by Paulie Malignaggi

UFC veteran Artem Lobov is set to make his Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship debut later this month when he takes on Jason Knight. Although the focus is on Knight, Lobov already has his second fight in the works. It has been reported that ‘The Russian Hammer’ will fight former boxing champ, Paulie Malignaggi later this summer, this if he proves victorious against Knight this weekend.

Benson got this news from retired boxer and new BKFC fighter Paulie Malignaggi, one of McGregor’s chief rivals and the man the promotion allegedly hopes to match the Irishman up with.

While the verdict is still out on whether Malignaggi will ever get the chance to settle his score with McGregor, he may soon get the chance to fight the Irishman’s close friend and training partner Artem Lobov. According to a report from Helen Yee, Paulie Malignaggi is closing in on a deal with bare knuckle boxing promotion Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).

Artem Lobov has found a new home. The Conor McGregor training partner has signed a multi-fight deal with Bare Knuckle Fighting Championships (BKFC) — not to be confused with WBKFF. He will make his BKFC debut opposite another fan favorite UFC veteran in Jason “The Kid” Knight on April 20.

The card was billed as a USA vs. Mexico event, as each matchup pitted an American fighter against a Mexican fighter or fighter of Mexican heritage. In the main event, all-action UFC veteran Leonard Garcia made a return to the ring against infamous Ultimate Fighter veteran Julian Lane. Leonard Garcia won this BKFC 4 main event showdown by second round knockout.
