Welterweight knockout artist Paul Daley will return to the cage against Saad Awad in tonight’s Bellator 232 co-main event. ‘Semtex‘ was initially slated to face Sabah Homasi at tonight’s event, however that bout was scrapped and Awad ultimately stepped up on short-notice.

The card takes place November 8 WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Oklahoma. Bellator has confirmed the bout will act as Lawal’s final retirement fight.

This news was announced at a joint press conference between Bellator and RIZIN Fighting Federation early on Wednesday morning (Wednesday night in Japan).

Former Bellator fighter William Joplin has passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer, according to his family. He was 41. Joplin’s sister Shelley shared an update on his GoFundMe page which indicated he passed away on Tuesday morning.
