According to a report from TMZ, boxer Adrien Broner has two court dates scheduled for Monday, January 7 — one in Atlanta, and one in Cleveland.

The first court date stems from an incident in which the boxer allegedly sexually assaulted a woman in a shopping mall, groping her against her will.

The second stems from an incident wherein he allegedly “threw himself on top of a woman” at a nightclub and forced her to kiss him.

Because both court dates have been scheduled for Monday, Adrien Broner and his team have had to decide which of the two he should attend in person. Per TMZ’s report, he will be sending a lawyer to attend the court date for the incident in Cleveland, as Ohio does not require him to attend in person. Given the boxer’s history of skipping court dates, however, there’s reason to believe he will not attend either.

According to TMZ, Broner is facing 5 separate charges between these two incidents, and could be jailed for up to nine years nine years if found guilty on all counts.

Adrien Broner is scheduled to return to the ring against Manny Pacquiao on January 19 in Las Vegas. Stay tuned for further updates on this troubling situation as they emerge.
