Amir Khan gives timetable for Conor McGregor fight
With the talk of former boxing champion Amir Khan potentially making the transition to MMA currently swirling around both the MMA and boxing communities, many are wondering what the chances are of the fight actually happening.
While Brendan Schaub believes that the UFC could actually be looking to sign Khan, the former champ himself has been quiet in regards to when he would like to make the jump to the UFC.
In a recent interview with Boxing Scene, Khan gave his timetable for a potential fight with UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor:
“I think a Conor McGregor fight would be massive,” Khan said. “It would be a full MMA fight, as I’m not scared of him. But listen, I would need six months to train MMA fully and I will spend every day in the cage until I’m bang on.
“He’s a great fighter and I’m not saying I want to fight him because I don’t like him. It’s because he’s the best fighter and the biggest name.”
