Sorry Conor McGregor and Jon Jones, but IBF-WBA world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua may take the cake in the punching power arcade game.
As you can see from the video above, Joshua was hanging out with English soccer player Troy Deeney and the two got to challenging on the punching arcade game to test out their power. Given that it’s Joshua’s sport, Deeney shows off a very impressive punch falling not far behind the heavyweight champion’s first go at the game. However, after the warm up, Joshua unloads on another shot to test his power again and it looks like the machine may have broken with the heavyweight champion’s power shot.
Anthony Joshua is fresh off a win over Wladimir Klitschko, stopping the former longtime world champion in the 11th round. This marked Joshua’s third time defending his WBO heavyweight title and did so in a way that thrilled the crowd.
Klitschko’s prior fight to the bout with Joshua was against Tyson Fury, which took place in November 2015. It was a big upset for Klitschko, as Fury ended up taking the WBA (Super), IBF, WBO, IBO, The Ring, and lineal heavyweight titles home with him.
Fury’s time as champion did not last long as the controversial heavyweight vacated his WBO and WBA titles in October of last year after he pulled out of his scheduled rematch with Klitschko. Fury pulled out of the fight a day after he took part of a Voluntary Anti-Doping Association random urine test, which ended up testing positive for cocaine.
Fury has focused on cleaning up and returning this year and a fight with Joshua could be coming in the near future. However, Klitschko and Joshua did have a rematch clause in their contracts, which could put the two against each other one more time.
