YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul is not shy when it comes to trash talking the stars of the mixed martial arts world. On Wednesday, Paul took to his social media channels with a video that featured impersonations of UFC stars Nick and Nate Diaz, Bellator MMA star Dillon Danis, former two division UFC champ Conor McGregor, UFC President Dana White, former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping, and former ONE and Bellator welterweight champ Ben Askren.

Former UFC welterweight Ben Askren says to “bet the house” after opening up as the betting underdog to YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. Askren confirmed on Tuesday to BJPenn.com that he has accepted a boxing match with Paul that is scheduled to take place on March 28 in Los Angeles. Askren later took to his social media to release a video explaining why he accepted Paul’s callout, admitting he took the fight because he views it as easy money. Even though he’s a wrestler by trade and not a striker, Askren believes that he has the upper hand because he is a professional athlete who has competed at the highest levels of combat sports for nearly 20 years.

Bellator MMA President Scott Coker believes he knows how a rumored boxing match between Ben Askren and Jake Paul will go down. Askren claims that he’s in talks to fight Paul in March. While he previously reigned as the Bellator and ONE Championship welterweight titleholder and is a decorated wrestler, he’s never been much of a striker, and is widely expected to be at a disadvantage in a boxing match against the YouTube star turned pro boxer, Paul.

Former UFC welterweight Ben Askren posted a video to his social media explaining why he is fighting YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul. On Tuesday, BJPenn.com’s Cole Shelton reported that Askren was deep in talks for a boxing match with Paul that is set for March 28. A few hours later and Askren took to his social media to post a one-minute video confirming he has accepted the fight with Paul. Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. both produced clean drug testing results following their special exhibition fight in November. Tyson and Jones, 54 and 51 years old respectively, met in an eight-round heavyweight exhibition on November 28 in Los Angeles. Heading into the fight, which was sanctioned by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), both men underwent drug testing administered by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency (VADA).

Pound-for-pound boxing great Canelo Alvarez issued a statement after beating Callum Smith, announcing to the sports world that “I’m back!” Alvarez moved up to the super middleweight division in this bout to take on Smith. Alvarez gave up six inches of height in the contest (5’9″ to 6’3″) and he also gave up a significant reach advantage, but none of those physical advantages for Smith mattered as Alvarez boxed him up for nearly the full 12 rounds. At the end of 36 minutes of boxing action, Alvarez won a unanimous decision (119-109, 119-109, 117-111). The lopsided win over Smith won Alvarez the WBC and WBA super-middleweight titles.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul responded after former MLB slugger Jose Canseco threatened to “take care” of his father Greg Paul. Canseco recently called out Logan Paul, Jake’s brother, after he broke up with Canseco’s daughter Josie. In order to defend the family name, the former MLB all-star said that he would fight Logan. After hearing crickets from both Logan and his brother Jake, Canseco then suggested he fight their father Greg instead. Middleweight boxing champ Gennady Golovkin put on a show Friday night, stopping Kamil Szeremeta in the seventh round due to referee stoppage. Golovkin, one of the top-10 ranked pound-for-pound boxers in the world, took on Szeremeta at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida. As expected, Golovkin put on a spectacular performance against an overmatched opponent. Golovkin scored four knockdowns en route to the referee stopping the fight due to TKO. With the win, Golovkin improved his professional boxing record to 41-1-1.
