Legendary boxer Roy Jones Jr. looks to be in phenomenal shape ahead of his highly-anticipated boxing match against Mike Tyson next Saturday. Jones Jr. and Tyson will meet in the boxing ring on November 28 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California in a battle of boxing legends. The bout is scheduled for eight rounds and is an exhibition fight, though there will be a belt on the line. Despite Jones Jr. being 51 and Tyson being 54, both men appear to be taking this fight extremely seriously based on the photos and videos we have seen ahead of it. This is going to be a big fight.

The opening odds have been released for the upcoming boxing match between superstar boxer Canelo Alvarez and Callum Smith. Former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque has confirmed his camp is in talks with Mike Tyson’s camp for an exhibition boxing match for charity. Laraque was one of the top enforcers in the NHL during a 13-year playing career that ran from 1997 to 2010, playing right wing for the Edmonton Oilers, Phoenix Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Montreal Canadiens. During his playing days, Laraque was not known for his scoring prowess, as he tallied just 53 goals in 695 career NHL games. Instead, Laraque was known for being one of the game’s best enforcers and fighters.

Heavyweight boxing legend Evander Holyfield is reportedly interested in a trilogy fight with his long-time rival Mike Tyson. Holyfield and Tyson previously met twice during the height of the heavyweight boxing scene in the 1990s. In 1996, these two met for the first time with Holyfield winning the WBA heavyweight title with an 11th-round knockout. Then in 1997, the two met in a high-profile rematch, and Tyson was disqualified after being Holyfield’s ear in the third round. 23 years later and it appears as though we finally might get some closure on this rivalry.

Canelo, a four-division champion and one of the greatest boxers competing today, has recently been embroiled in a legal battle with Golden Boy Promotions and the streaming service DAZN, with whom he signed a record-shattering $350M deal in 2018. The lawsuit, launched in a Los Angeles Federal Court, alleges Canelo’s multi-fight deal with GBP and DAZN was breached to the tune of $280 million in damages after they failed to find him a fight since he beat Sergey Kovalev in late 2019.
