The chaos that just broke out at Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather’s media day hasn’t settled down too much. Paul Malignaggi and McGregor just an an epic confrontation outside in the parking lot which almost came to blows. All the videos were loud, you could barely make out what anyone was saying, and it all came and went incredibly fast. Almost as fast as Malignaggi talks. After the situation dissolved, Ariel Helwani followed Paul Malignaggi and asked him to explain his side of the altercation. “I was trying to Audie’s [Attar, McGregor’s manager] attention ’cause I was trying to talk to Audie. Audie was saying I talked out of my contract, no I didn’t talk out of my contract. You guys posted up pictures, you force me to defend myself. I didn’t talk anything until you guys posted pictures. The pictures is what started talking. So, nobody talked out of the contract. You guys posted pictures first. If there were no pictures ever posted, I wouldn’t of needed to talk.”

It’s media day for Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather but he focus is going to be completely on that other boxer that got mixed up in this. After all the controversy leading up to the event, Paul Malignaggi ran into McGregor out at the event today and things got serious real quick. If they weren’t already planning and moving ahead with that boxing match after McGregor boxes Mayweather, they definitely are now. It’s hard to make out what is said, but it looks like McGregor told him that they could fight anytime and Paul Malignaggi yells at him to not forget his, ahem, courage. Conor McGregor: “You bet your ass we will, you bet your ass we f-ckin’ will.” Paul Malignaggi: “Remember what I said when you quit like a b-tch, Saturday. Bring your balls, p-ssy.”

Take it as you may, but whether you like it or not, this isn’t the first time Conor McGregor’s head coach John Kavanagh has mentioned something about a “push” on social media. On Monday, Kavanagh posted a photo of himself with his back on the canvas wearing boxing gloves as “The Notorious” stood above looking down on the pioneer that helped put Irish MMA on the map.

Floyd Mayweather is worried. Not about Conor McGregor’s mid-combat trash talk, now about his sniper left hand, not about the possibility of McGregor cheating, he’s worried about his weight. Sitting outside of his gym talking to Fight Hype after drinking a ‘light shake’, he expressed his concern that his opponent is an ‘extremely heavy’ 164lbs right now. He’s not too worry about it though, as long as he gets a percentage of McGregor’s purse if he does in fact not make the 154lb limit. How do you look this good at 40? In the buildup to their blockbuster boxing match, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and five-division boxing champion Floyd Mayweather have exchanged plenty of trash talk. They’ve hit each other with every diss, insult, and jibe imaginable – but according to Mayweather, it all stops when the cameras aren’t rolling. Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, Mayweather shared a story of a backstage encounter with McGregor during which he attempted to see what the Irishman was all about behind the scenes.

We’re getting so close to Conor McGregor stepping into the ring with Floyd Mayweather that you can practically taste the money flying around in the air. Speaking of moolah, did everyone know that this pay-per-view is going to set people back $99 plus tax and other hidden charges? To some people, that’s just too steep. Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor will be stepping into the boxing ring on Saturday, August 26, to fight under the Queensberry rules in what is expected to break the record as the richest fight in combat sports. Back in 2015, Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao set the bar high with over 4 million pay-per-view buys in a fight that many fans were left unimpressed by the action in the ring from the two boxing superstars. Both Mayweather and McGregor have said leading up to their mega-million dollar boxing match that they are going to bring the fight come August 26. Interestingly, Mayweather’s challenge to bend the standard rules and change the glove size from 10-oz gloves to 8-oz gloves are giving some fans more hope in the fight not ending with a judge’s decision.

Floyd Mayweather is less than one week out from returning to the boxing ring after coming out of retirement to fight current UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor in the boxing ring. Mayweather, now 40-years-old, has stated numerous times in the buildup to this fight that he certainly isn’t the same boxer he was 10 years ago and admitted he isn’t even the same boxer from just two years ago. However, Mayweather has stated that although not the same man he once was, he still has was it takes to beat Conor McGregor in the boxing ring.

After his first sparring session with Conor McGregor, Paulie Malignaggi said that McGregor’s punching power was good, but it wasn’t something that really blew his mind. Perhaps that was the wrong thing to say after their first session as things turned sour after their second sparring session and Malignaggi removed himself from helping in the training camp.

This Saturday, UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor will step into the boxing ring to battle undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. The fight is tracking to be one of the biggest in combat sports history, and one that could smash all previous pay-per-view records. Former Strikeforce champ and current Bellator star Muhammed ‘King Mo’ Lawal, however, will not be buying. The light heavyweight and occasional heavyweight explained why on a recent episode of MMAJunkie Radio. In his opinion, it’s too much of a mismatch in Mayweather’s favor to even warrant consideration. He’ll simply watch the highlights later.

It’s for this reason that pop superstar Justin Bieber has reportedly dialled back his friendship with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. According to a report from TMZ, Bieber and his team, under the influence of a pastor at this church, were a little put off by Mayweather’s interest in strip clubs (the boxer owns a venue in Las Vegas called “Girl Collection”). They have decided to loosen ties with him as a result, just days ahead of his massive, boxing showdown with UFC lightweight champ Conor McGregor.

Mosley believes that a better fight to make would be having “Mystic Mac” square off with Floyd’s father, Mayweather Sr, this way McGregor would have a 50/50 shot of winning.

There’s a pot show about everything you can think of: Court cases, a cooking show that only makes edibles, even a show where people get high and watch professional wrestling. That’s when it hit me in the head like a Nick Diaz nunchaku strike, where is the weed MMA show at? That’s why I decided to toke up, put on a headset and created the (Not So) Secret Smoke Show. Oh sh-t, did I just speak in the first person? I sure did, reader. I’ll break the fourth wall too, because rules don’t really matter. We live in a world where Conor McGregor, a guy who has never boxed before in his life, can fight Floyd Mayweather and they’ll convince you it’s a proper athletic contest. Hell, even the Nevada State Athletic Commission threw out all of their long-standing traditions and rubric because f-ck it, this is the biggest fight ever in the history of all human existence. So big in fact, that I had to use the startling opening theme from 2001: A Space Odyssey in my latest episode in order to give it some gravitas, or balls, whichever you prefer.
