Joe Rogan’s advice to Paulie Malignaggi: Shut the f*ck up
Paulie Malignaggi was brought into Conor McGregor’s training camp for Floyd Mayweather as an ally. He left as an arch enemy.
Since Malignaggi departed McGregor’s headquarters, he’s taken every opportunity to berate the Irishman, attacking him in interviews, and trashing him on social media. Eventually, Malignaggi even began attacking other members of the MMA community, and in the opinion of UFC commentator Joe Rogan, he’d be wise to stop.
Rogan sounded off on Paulie Malignaggi on a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience – a special Fight Companion episode for UFC Rotterdam.
“He should shut the f**k up because if he wanted to have a UFC fight he can go over there and get his brain kicked in,” Rogan said (h/t Jed Meshew of MMAFighting.com). “He’s out of his mind. Stop talking. You’re a boxer. You’re a very good boxer. Just shut your mouth.
“There’s literally a million people in the world that could grab you and strangle the life out of you and there’s not a god-damn thing you could do about it. Sorry dude. Don’t talk s**t. They will give you a wrestler and he will punch your f**king face into pulp and there’s not a god-damn thing you could do about it. Not a god-damn thing.”
On the same episode of the show, Rogan’s guest Brendan Schaub also touched briefly on Malignaggi, suggesting Malignaggi might actually serve as a future Conor McGregor opponent:
“If I’m Conor and I have McGregor promotions . . . I’m just gonna go to Dublin and me and Paulie are gonna sell this 70,000 stadium out and I’m just gonna take all of [the money].”
What do you think of Joe Rogan and Brendan Schaub’s comments on Paulie Malignaggi? Do you think the boxer should be careful what he says about MMA fighters?
