By Justin Golightly - August 22, 2017

The chaos that just broke out at Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather’s media day hasn’t settled down too much. Paul Malignaggi and McGregor just an an epic confrontation outside in the parking lot which almost came to blows. All the videos were loud, you could barely make out what anyone was saying, and it all came and went incredibly fast. Almost as fast as Malignaggi talks. After the situation dissolved, Ariel Helwani followed Paul Malignaggi and asked him to explain his side of the altercation.

“I was trying to Audie’s [Attar, McGregor’s manager] attention ’cause I was trying to talk to Audie. Audie was saying I talked out of my contract, no I didn’t talk out of my contract. You guys posted up pictures, you force me to defend myself. I didn’t talk anything until you guys posted pictures. The pictures is what started talking. So, nobody talked out of the contract. You guys posted pictures first. If there were no pictures ever posted, I wouldn’t of needed to talk.”

“I was trying to talk to Audie. Conor was probably saying typical sh-t. You got your ass whooped. Then I reminded him, did you bring your balls this week? Because usually you forgot them against [Nate] Diaz. You tend to forget them when sh-t gets touch. Make sure you bring your balls on Saturday. He’s going to need them Saturday. Make sure he doesn’t forget them in Ireland or the training camp house. You gotta’ pack your gloves, you gotta’ pack your shoes, you gotta’ pack your cup, you gotta’ pack your balls too, ’cause he tends to forget those.”

Paul Malignaggi is referring to the nondisclosure agreements that everyone involved in Conor McGregor’s camp signed. According to Malignaggi, McGregor’s manager told him (apparently out of nowhere) that he had broken his contract and therefore McGregor’s camp could show whatever they wanted to. This is where McGregor stepped in and confronted Malignaggi. Somehow, despite all of this, Paul Malignaggi is still involved with the May/Mac fight and is working the boxing match as planned with Showtime.
