The UFC released a statement on the situation, which in-part read:

“Because Hunter was scheduled to compete against Ryan Janes this coming Saturday, August 27 in Vancouver, British Columbia, there is insufficient time for a full review before the scheduled bout and therefore the fight has been removed from the fight card. “

The statement also explained that the UFC will be paying Hunter’s opponent, Ryan Janes, his show and win money for the fight.

Stay tuned for updates as they become available.
