Ali Abdelaziz is claiming Alexander Volkanovski weighed two pounds heavier than Islam Makhachev on fight night at UFC 284. UFC 284 took place on Saturday, February 11th of this year and highlighted Alexander Volkanovski (25-2 MMA) vs. Islam Makhachev (24-1 MMA) in the lightweight main event at the RAC Arena in Perth, Australia.  The result was a unanimous decision win (48-47, 48-47, 49-46) for Makhachev.

At UFC 278 on Saturday night, Kamaru Usman’s fantastic reign as UFC welterweight champion came to an end when he was knocked out cold by Leon Edwards. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ appeared to be less than a minute away from successfully defending his title for the sixth time, only for ‘Rocky’ to spring a huge surprise by landing a nasty head kick that sent Usman to the shadow realm.

Abdelaziz also said ‘The Eagle’ is capable of beating heavyweights, light heavyweights, welterweights and lightweights.

The main point of contention between the two men is that Canelo Alvarez has repeatedly shot down fighting UFC champion Kamaru Usman. Ali Abdelaziz, who represents ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’, has blasted the boxer for turning down the fight to box Dmitry Bivol.

While Alvarez first shot down a fight with Usman, he’s since been more open to the fight. However, he’s also noted that he’s not going to fight him anytime soon.

Bellator fighter Dillon Danis was reportedly removed from Saturday’s UFC 268 event after being slapped by MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz. According to MMAjunkie.com’s John Morgan, Danis and Abdelaziz met backstage at UFC 268, and apparently, Abdelaziz slapped Danis in the face, which was seen by several witnesses. However, even though it was Danis who was the one who was reportedly slapped in the face, it was actually Danis who was the one who was removed from the arena. Abdelaziz also declined to comment on what exactly happened between them.

MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz believes that middleweight contender Paulo Costa missed weight in order to get cut by the UFC. Costa was scheduled to meet Marvin Vettori in a middleweight bout that headlines Saturday’s UFC Vegas 41 card, but the fight will no longer be taking place at 185lbs. Costa showed up to fight week off weight and the UFC was forced to move the fight up to 205lbs instead. The fight between Vettori and Costa will now take place on Saturday, with Costa being fined 20% of his purse due to the fight having to take place at 205lbs now.

Conor McGregor insulted Dagestan with suggestions of inbreeding, sparking a heated feud with Ali Abdelaziz: “When you die, I celebrate.” McGregor and Abdelaziz have gotten into it on social media and in interviews before, so clearly there is no love lost between these two. McGregor, of course, was longtime rivals with Abdelaziz’s client Khabib Nurmagomedov. Even though “The Eagle” is retired from MMA these days, McGregor continues to take shots at him whenever he can. On Wednesday, McGregor fired a shot at Nurmagomedov and Abdelaziz replied back. That led to a bit of a flaming war between McGregor and Abdelaziz, as you can see below.

Ali Abdelaziz has claimed the reports linking Khabib Nurmagomedov with a move to a Russian football club are “fake news”. Over the course of the last few days there have been rumblings that Khabib, who retired from professional mixed martial arts last year, has formally signed a contract with Russian third division side FC Legion Dynamo.
