UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes made her first title defense in the featured bout of last night’s UFC 207 event Las Vegas when she squared off with former division title holder Ronda Rousey.
The Brazilian put on the finest performance of her career against “Rowdy”, battering the former champion with punches until the referee mercifully stepped in to stop the contest just 48-seconds in to the opening round.
Following her dominant win, “The Lioness” took to Twitter where she delivered one final shot at Ronda Rousey. Check it out:

The victory marked Nunes’ fifth win in a row and her fourth stoppage in her past five fights.
Prior to defeating Rousey at UFC 207 last night, Amanda Nunes was coming off a submission victory over Miesha Tate at UFC 200 in July which earned “The Lioness” the UFC’s coveted women’s bantamweight championship.
Amanda Nunes will likely face the winner of the Juliana Pena vs. Valentina Shevchenko bout next, which takes place at the UFC on FOX card scheduled for January 28 in Denver, Colorado.
