Anderson Silva has this message to all the keyboard critics out there
Anderson Silva is currently riding on the roughest road in his career. Coming up on his 41st birthday, “The Spider” has not racked up a win since 2012 with his initial 2015 win over Nick Diaz later being ruled a no contest due to failing a drug test.
Despite the rough patch in his career and age not on his side, “The Spider” says he fights because it is simply what he loves to do and isn’t letting the losses get to him.
Silva spoke with ESPN on his last controversial fight with Michael Bisping and his performance.
“I give him merit for winning, but I take merit away from the judges for judging it that way,” Silva said. “I was very happy with how I performed. I showed everyone my technique and superiority.”
Regarding those that feel a need to criticize Silva, “The Spider” says that he pays no attention to them and says that it is a different world when you are actually fighting in competition.
“I really don’t watch out for critics of my fights because I’m the one who’s going in there and fighting. It’s easy for you to watch a fight and say a guy could have done this or that, but watching a fight and then going out there and stepping in is completely different. It takes someone to actually step in there and take a few shots to realize that.”
