Kelvin Gastelum and Colby Covington React to Anderson Silva’s Potential Anti-Doping Violation

As if we didn’t have enough chaos going on right now in the MMA world, Anderson Silva has been notified of a potential anti-doping violation. This is Anderson Silva’s second time being flagged by USADA, the first time was back in 2015 after his fight with Nick Diaz at UFC 183. He was suspended for a whole year, fined his $200K win bonus and 30-percent of his $600K was taken. He still has his day in court, but if the tests prove to be accurate then he’ll face an even stiffer punishment this second time around.

Breathe is right, Gastelum: Holly Holm’s fight with Cris Cyborg is dead in the water, Frankie Edgar is injured and out of his fight with Max Holloway at UFC 218, Dominick Cruz is injured and out of his fight with Jimmie Rivera at UFC 219, Conor McGregor is running amok in Bellator, and now Anderson Silva faces a potential anti-doping violation. No word yet if Kelvin Gastelum will stay on the card against a new opponent at UFC Shanghai on November 25th, or if the bout will be pulled altogether.

Of course, this is news that everyone in the UFC will have a a myriad of reactions to. Welterweight contender Colby Covington had a another, completely opposite reaction to the news from Silva’s would-be opponent. One that continues his controversial statements he’s been been infamous for from his UFC Fight Night 119 post-fight speech.
