Anderson Silva thinks Israel Adesanya will be the UFC’s middleweight champion for the foreseeable future. Adesanya is coming off a decision victory over Marvin Vettori to defend his middleweight title for the third time. However, in the fight before he did lose to Jan Blachowicz by decision for the light heavyweight belt. Yet, for Silva, he says Adesanya is too skilled and doesn’t see anyone beating him in the weight class.

UFC superstar Conor McGregor thanked former middleweight kingpin, Anderson Silva, for his advice on dealing with his broken leg. McGregor broke his leg against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and he is expected to be out for the next year as he recovers from the broken limb. Silva, of course, famously broke his leg against Chris Weidman at UFC 168 in December 2013. So if there is anyone who knows how to come back from a broken leg in order to have a successful career, it’s Silva.

Anderson Silva has offered some advice to Conor McGregor as he recovers from his broken leg. At UFC 264 in July, McGregor broke his leg at the end of the first round in his highly-anticipated trilogy against Dustin Poirier. It was a disappointing ending to the fight, and it was the second gruesome leg break in a few months as Chris Weidman also had a bad one. But, Silva, who had a terrible broken leg against Weidman offered some advice to the Irishman as he recovers from the injury.

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva praised YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and says he’s open to boxing Logan Paul in the future. Silva returned to boxing earlier this year when he fought and defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. via split decision in Mexico. He next returns to the ring against Tito Ortiz on September 11, and should he win that fight, there will be lots more opportunities for Silva in the boxing ring. Right now, there are no bigger names in boxing than the Paul brothers, Jake and Logan, and speaking to Submission Radio, Silva praised them for what they are doing.

Kalyl Silva, the son of former UFC middleweight champion, Anderson Silva had a phenomenal kickboxing debut. Kalyl, who is 22-years-old and used to play soccer in the United Premier Soccer League, made his kickboxing debut at FightersRep 10 over the weekend in California. He was fighting Anthony Reynaga in a 159-pound fight and Silva scored an eight-second KO win. He recorded the knockout on the first kick he threw.

UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz says that he “lost respect” for Anderson Silva for making him cut to 195lbs for their upcoming boxing match. Ortiz will take on Silva in an eight-round professional boxing match on September 11, as part of the Triller fight card that also features Oscar de la Hoya and Vitor Belfort in the main event. Just the announcement of Ortiz fighting Silva alone was surprising, but the fact the fight was booked at 195lbs is even more surprising considering Ortiz is now 46 years old and has never weighed that little in his entire MMA career. In fact, according to Ortiz in an interview with TMZ, he is not happy that Silva has forced him to cut down to 195lbs.

Tito Ortiz reacted to his boxing match with Anderson Silva, saying that “I’ve been working extensively on my boxing over the past 10 years.” Coming out of left field, the Ortiz vs. Silva boxing match was officially announced on Wednesday by Triller. It will take place on September 11 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, and will be a 195lbs professional boxing match set for eight rounds or less. The main event of the card features former UFC champion Vitor Belfort against Oscar de la Hoya. With the addition of Ortiz vs. Silva, this is expected to be one of Triller’s biggest boxing events to date, one that features a number of combat sports legends.

A boxing matchup between former UFC champions Tito Ortiz and Anderson Silva is being targeted to take place on September 11 for Triller. MMAFighting.com’s Guilherme Cruz was the first to report that Ortiz vs. Silva is being targeted for September 11. We know that Silva had been looking for his next opponent in boxing after beating Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. back in June, and we knew that Ortiz was hoping to make a comeback to combat sports at some point, as well. So now we get the two legends of MMA putting on the boxing gloves and meeting in the ring this September. The bout will serve on the undercard of the Oscar de la Hoya vs. Vitor Belfort PPV event.

YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul has opened up as the betting favorite for a potential boxing match with MMA legend Anderson Silva. Paul’s manager Jeff Levin confirmed with ESPN on Wednesday that the reports of a potential Paul vs. Silva boxing match are accurate. According to the report, it hasn’t been determined yet whether or not this would be an exhibition bout or a professional boxing match, and the weight class and rounds would have to be determined, too. But it does appear that there is smoke where the fire is and that Paul vs. Silva is very possible.

For the past decade, these two pillars of Brazilian combat sports have been going back and forth with each other and a rematch has always been something that the fans have wanted to see. But with both men no longer in the UFC, a rematch in MMA doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. However, now that both men are back in the world of boxing, it seems possible that a rematch between the two legends of the sport could take place in boxing.

The oddsmakers pegged Silva as a sizeable underdog to beat Chavez Jr., who has nearly 60 boxing matches to his credit compared to just two for Silva, but it was “The Spider” who got the upper hand throughout the majority of the bout, and two of the three judges scored the fight in his favor. It was an exceptional win for Silva, and one made all the sweeter after he was unceremoniously cut by UFC president Dana White last year.

Silva, who is set for his first fight since his UFC release, was set to cut down to 182lbs to face Chavez Jr. who normally competes around the 160-175lbs mark. Silva made the weight while Chavez Jr. came in 2.4 pounds heavy. According to the Mexican, he thought the bout was taking place at 185lbs due to the fact that was the weight Silva fought at in the UFC. Despite his claim, Chavez Jr. still came in heavy and forfeited $100,000 to Silva for the weight miss.
