Andrei Arlovski and Felice Herrig receive their next octagon opponents
Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski (25-15 MMA) will look to snap his current five-fight losing skid on November 11 when he squares off with Junior Albini (14-2 MMA) at UFC Norfolk.
UFC officials announced the heavyweight tilt earlier today.
Arlovski was most recently seen in action this past June where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Marcin Tybura. Prior to that, Andrei had suffered four straight losses by way of stoppage to opponents Francis Ngannou, Josh Barnett, Alistair Overeem and Stipe Miocic.
Arlovski’s most recent win came at UFC 191 in September of 2015, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Frank Mir.
Menawhile, Albini recently made his octagon debut at July’s UFC on FOX 25 event, where he scored a first-round TKO victory over Timothy Johnson.
UFC Fight Night 120 takes place November 11 in Norfolk, Virginia. The fight card includes a lightweight tilt between Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis, as well as a welterweight showdown between Matt Brown and Diego Sanchez.
Another fight was announced yesterday, as UFC strawweight contender Felice Herrig took to Instagram where she informed fight fans that she will be fighting Cortney Casey on December 2 at UFC 218 in Detroit.
Felice Herrig is currently riding a three-fight win streak, her latest being a unanimous decision victory over Justin Kish at UFC Fight Night 112. Herrig’s fight with Kish made headlines world wide, this after “sh-t happened” inside the octagon.
Meanwhile, Cortney Casey is coming off arguably the biggest win of her professional mixed martials arts career at May’s UFC 211 event, where she scored a unanimous decision victory over former WSOF champion Jessica Aguilar.
