Anthony Johnson & Daniel Cormier trade shots on social media
Last month at UFC 202, top ranked light heavyweight Anthony Johnson picked up a major win as he knocked out Glover Teixeira in the first round of their UFC 202 scrap.
Following the fight, ‘Rumble’ called for a rematch with UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. Cormier verbally agreed to the fight, stating that Johnson deserved a rematch, regardless of whether or not Jon Jones appeal process with USADA goes well.
Now, Johnson has taken to social media to campaign for a rematch with Cormier at the UFC’s historic inaugural New York card on November 12th.

Johnson has been on a tear of the light heavyweight division, going on a 3-fight win streak that has seen him knock out Jimi Manuwa, Ryan Bader, and most recently Glover Teixeira.
Since Cormier’s last win over Johnson, he defeated Alexander Gustafsson via unanimous decision, and most recently Anderson Silva on the main card of UFC 200 after Jon Jones was pulled from the fight last minute due to a USADA violation.
