The UFC is Casting Octagon Girls for a Reality Series on POP TV Network

We’re all familiar with The Ultimate Fighter, the UFC’s trademark reality show, throughout which contestants compete for UFC contracts and sometimes even title shots or championship belts.

Though the series has produced a few lacklustre seasons, its also given us UFC stars like Nate Diaz, Forrest Griffin, Diego Sanchez, Rashad Evans, Michael Bisping, TJ Dillashaw, Rose Namajunas, Tony Ferguson, and John Dodson. It’s also widely credited for the UFC’s transformation from a polarizing spectacle on the fringes of the sporting world to a legitimate mainstream sport.

Now, the UFC is poised to launch another reality show, which will also award the winner a UFC contract. This new series, however, will involve a whole lot less fighting, as the contenders will be models, rather than mixed martial artists. These contestants will be competing for the chance to become the UFC’s newest Octagon girl.

The show, which will air on the POP TV network, will see contestants join the ranks of the UFC’s current Octagon girls and travel to UFC events around the world. It will also document their lives back at home in Southern California.

Interested in joining the cast for this show? The applicant guidelines on the official casting call are pretty simple:

You must be at least 21 years of age and live in Southern California. You must have a “fit and athletic body type.” You have to be legally able to work in the United States. You must never have appeared in pornographic material. You must not be contractually tied to any other combat sports promotion. You must be able to attend scheduled auditions in North Hollywood during the week of October 24 and film a presentation for the show in mid-November.

Meet all those requirements? Well, you could just become the UFC’s newest Octagon girl.

At the moment, the UFC’s most famous Octagon girls are Arianny Celeste, who has been with the company for years, and Brittney Palmer, who was picked up when the UFC absorbed World Extreme Cage Fighting. Celeste and Palmer share their duties with the likes of Chrissy Blair, Vanessa Hanson, Carly Baker, and Jhenny Andrade.
