Bellator 206 Results: Aaron Pico finishes Leandro Higo in Round 1 (VIDEO)
A featherweight bout between Aaron Pico and Leandro Higo took place on the main card of tonight’s Bellator 206 event in San Jose.
Aaron Pico (3-1 MMA) enters tonight’s contest on a three-fight win streak, with all three of those victories coming by way of first-round knockout.
Round one begins and Pico takes the center of the cage and comes forward with a low kick that misses. Pico with a lot of pressure early. He throws a kick to the body of Leandro. Pico with a combination now. Both men exchange body kicks. Pico leaps in with a flurry. He backs off and then Higo responds with a straight right. Higo with a low kick now. Pico circles and then takes the center of the cage. He comes forward with a jab and then a nasty body shot. Higo side steps and lands a nice low kick. Pico lands a big right hand that drops Higo. Leandro gets back to his feet but Pico is all over him with punches. Big body shots now from Aaron. He lands a massive right hand that floors Higo. Pico jumps on him with some brutal ground and pound. Somehow Higo gets back up to his feet only to be sent right down to the canvas from another big punch from Aaron Pico. This time the referee mercifully steps in and stops the fight.

With the win, Aaron Pico improves his career mixed martial arts record to 4-1 and extends his win streak to four in a row.
