Fedor Emelianenko and Ryan Bader will collide in the final of Bellator’s Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament on January 26 in Inglewood.

The former PRIDE champion and mixed martial arts legend, Fedor Emelianenko, advanced to the tournament finals by defeating Chael Sonnen via first-round TKO in the main event of Bellator 208 (watch that here).

With his win over Sonnen, “The Last Emperor” has now won seven of his past eight fights.

During that stretch, Fedor Emelianenko has scored victories over Jeff Monson, Satoshi Ishii, Pedro Rizzo, Singh Jaideep, Fabio Maldonado, Frank Mir and the aforementioned Chael Sonnen.

Meanwhile, Ryan Bader (26-5 MMA) found a spot in the tournament final opposite Fedor Emelianenko after defeating Matt Mitrione via decision at Bellator 207.

Since joining the Bellator ranks in June of 2017, “Darth” has gone a perfect 4-0, scoring wins over Phil Davis, Linton Vassell, Muhammed Lawal and the aforementioned Matt Mitrione.

Bader’s most recent setback occurred way back at UFC on FOX 18 in January of 2016, where he suffered a first-round knockout loss to Anthony “Rumble” Johnson.

Despite both fighters having found solid success in their most recent outings, Ryan Bader is being pegged as a heavy -400 favorite to defeat Fedor Emelianenko +300 in the finals of the Bellator Heavyweight Grand Prix this January.

Bovada was first to release the opening fight odds for the Bader vs. Emelianenko matchup.
