Chael Sonnen calls out Ryan Bader, deletes Tweet

Last night, in the main event of Bellator 214, Ryan Bader became Bellator’s first two-division champion by knocking out Fedor Emelianenko to capture the heavyweight strap. At present, it’s not known whether Bader will defend his heavyweight or light heavyweight belt first. Whatever the case, Chael Sonnen seems interested in being his first challenger.

On Saturday night, shortly after Ryan Bader won the strap, Chael Sonnen called him out on Twitter — though he promptly deleted the Tweet.

“3 left hooks then we start the fight. I still take your belt Bader. Quit calling out bums,” Sonnen said in his deleted Tweet.

While Chael Sonnen deleted this first Tweet, he then followed up with another, which seemed to imply Ryan Bader had accepted his callout.

“Tnx for accepting,” Sonnen wrote in his followup Tweet. “Wanna do it before or after your mom gets outta prison?”

Like Bader, Chael Sonnen was a competitor in Bellator’s heavyweight Grand Prix. After defeating Quinton “Rampage” Jackson in the tournament’s first round, he was eliminated by Emelianenko in the semi-finals.

Does a Bellator title fight between Chael Sonnen and Ryan Bader interest you? If so, which weight class do you think they should fight at?
