Dillon Danis takes break from trash talking, sends message of respect to his rivals
Dillon Danis is one of the biggest trash talker in mixed martial arts. Much like his friend and training partner Conor McGregor, he’s made a habit of entering into verbal battles with pretty much anybody who’s willing to engage him.
Late on Saturday night, however, the BJJ ace took a break from all the trash talking, and sent a message of respect to his rivals.
See what Dillon Danis had to say below:
“i respect every man that steps in that cage no one sees the things that go in to it i hope no one takes significant damage and comes back to 100% god bless them all” – Dillon Danis on Twitter.
A quick scroll down Danis’ Twitter feed, of course, reminds that messages of this kind are a very rare occurrence for him. In the last 48 hours alone, he’s taken shots at former ONE and Bellator champ Ben Askren and fellow BJJ star AJ Agazarm. Over on his official Instagram account, meanwhile, he’s been taking digs at reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones.
Dillon Danis made his MMA debut in 2018, defeating Kyle Walker by first-round submission under the Bellator banner. He was briefly expected to make his sophomore MMA appearance at last night’s Bellator 214 card, but was kept off the bill due to his role in the infamous UFC 229 post-right brawl and his resulting suspension.
“i was planned to be fighting on tonight’s Bellator main card before all the madness it sucks but always looking forward would of been amazing to fight in LA a place i love to go but hey it is what it is.” Dillon Danis on Twitter.
What do you think of this rare message of respect from Dillon Danis?
