Medical Suspensions Report – Bellator 131
This past weekend fight fans witnessed two MMA veterans battle it out for three rounds in the cage with Tito Ortiz eventually getting the nod over Stephan Bonnar.
Below are the medical suspensions from Bellator 131 courtesy of the MMAWeekly, who obtained the suspension list from the CSAC.
Stephan Bonnar: 60 days pending medical clearance of laceration to right cheek and left temporal scalp, seven-day mandatory rest period.
Will Brooks: 180 days pending medical clearance for left rib injury, seven-day mandatory rest period.
Michael Chandler: 60 days pending medical clearance of laceration to right eye, 45/30 days no exceptions.
Melvin Manhoef: 45/30 days no exception.
Nam Phan: 60 days pending medical clearance of laceration to left eyelid, 45/30 days no exceptions.
Joe Vedepo 180 days pending medical clearance of right orbital fracture, laceration to right eye, 45/30 days no exceptions.
Kyle Bolt 45/30 days no exceptions.
Ron Henderson 180 days pending medical clearance of left orbital fracture, 45/30 days no exception.
Andy Murad: 60 days pending medical clearance for laceration to left eye and scalp, seven day mandatory rest period.
Matt Ramirez: 180 days pending medical clearance (neuro required), seven-day mandatory rest period.
Fighters not listed received a minimum 7-day suspension.
