Ken Shamrock is just 2-8 in his last 10 fights, and is currently on a 2-fight skid that most recently saw him drop a KO loss to Kimbo Slice at Bellator 138 in June. Shamrock teased fans with “big news” on Twitter earlier this week, however the announcement won’t come for another several days.

Friday night’s Bellator 144 event was packed with finishes, as well as a title fight, but that wasn’t enough to bring eyes to the fight card.  According to MMAFighting, the event drew in a dismal 555,000 viewers, the lowest of any Scott Coker era Bellator event.

Former UFC welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck (17-10 MMA) signed a contract with Bellator MMA this past June and is currently awaiting his first opponent from the promotion. The former “Ultimate Fighter Season 1” star was initially slated to make his first Bellator appearance this December at Bellator 147, but instead is now being targeted for a January event.

Michael ‘Venom’ Page kicked off the main card of Bellator 144 by picking up a quick TKO win over Charlie Ontiveros. Page secured top control and rained down elbows until the referee stopped the fight due to an injury to Ontiveros’ jaw.

To finish off the Bellator 144 online prelims, Kin Moy picked up a 3rd round submission win via rear naked choke. The win bumped Moy’s professional record to 8-2, and kept the finish streak going for Bellator 144.

Marius Enache showed that at 40 years old he still has ‘it.’ Enache secured a key-lock while in side control and ultimately injured his opponents arm with a floating americana lock, earning him the 2nd round submission win! The win is the 3rd of Enache’s professional career.

Officials announced today that the initial Dec. 11 date for Bellator 147 has been changed to take place a week earlier, on Dec. 4, according to MMA Junkie. Fighters already scheduled on the card include lightweights in former Strikeforce champion/UFC vet Josh Thomson (21-8 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) vs. Pablo Villaseca (10-1 MMA, 0-1 BMMA) as well as featherweights Daniel Weichel (35-9 MMA, 4-1 BMMA) vs. Georgi Karakhanyan (24-4-1 MMA, 2-2 BMMA).
