Last night’s Bellator 129 co-main event ended in a majority draw due to some poorly placed headbutts of Houston Alexander. The UFC Veteran was warned in the first round, and repeated the offense later on to lose a point on the judges scorecards.

Bellator 131 is set to kick off with a bang as two explosive bantamweights are set to square off to open the main card on Saturday, November 15th from The Valley View Casino Center as Mike “The Marine” Richman will take on Nam Phan live on Spike TV. The fight joins a card already featuring an explosive middleweight fight between Melvin Manhoef and Joe Schilling, a light heavyweight affair between King Mo and Tom DeBlass, a lightweight title fight between Michael Chandler and Will Brooks, along with one of the biggest grudge matches in the sport as MMA icons Tito “The Huntington Beach Bad Boy” and “The American Psycho” Stephan Bonnar battle at light heavyweight.

Bellator 129’s main-event lacked the action that those in attendance were seeking. Josh Neer and Paul Bradley battled for the full fifteen minutes, but it was a one sided affair with little offense from Neer.

Virgil Zwicker ate two illegal headbutts in the first and third rounds, and Houston Alexander was punished with a point deduction in the final five minutes of the fight.

Andre Santos and James Terry wanted nothing to do with the ground game at all, and the bout resembled that of a boxing match. Neither Terry or Santos found a comfortable striking range throughout the fight and as a result of that, big shots were few and far between.
