QUICK TWITT | Tito Ortiz Shows Off X-Rays of Fractured Neck
‘The Huntington Beach Bad Boy’ Tito Ortiz, single-handedly destroyed Bellator’s aspirations at a pay-per-view event.
After a heavy dose of media promotions, Tito finally let the cat out of the bag last week that he had a fractured neck and will be unable to compete against Rampage Jackson at Bellator 106.
Based on the timeline of events, Tito had kept this injury from his new employer and the public while gallivanting around Hollywood promoting the fight on radio and TV.
Since his disclosure, Rampage Jackson was pulled off the card alongside Cheick Kongo, Terry Etim and Karo Parisyan. The Bellator Pay-per-view event has been moved to a free on Spike TV card and Michael Chandler vs. Eddie Alvarez II will now serve as the main event.
The former UFC light-heavyweight champion has now put up an X-ray and explanation of his injury via twitter:
CT scan showed a right C6 pillar fracture. By going through a high impact fight as he is scheduled for would put him at high risk for (1/2)
