Royce Gracie speaks on MMA return
Last month it was announced that Royce Gracie would be returning to MMA for a trilogy fight against Ken Shamrock under the Bellator MMA banner in February.
While Gracie has been away from MMA competition since 2007, he’s ready to show that at 48 years old he still has what it takes to compete professionally.
He spoke to BloodyElbow to discuss the fight:
“I got more than a couple years [on Ken Shamrock], man. I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, healthy life. So, I think I got more than a couple years.”
“What’s changed!? What’s changed is that the Royce today would have beat the Royce 20 years ago. Ken Shamrock today, I don’t think he would beat the Ken Shamrock 20 years ago. 20 years ago Royce had talent. Today, Royce has talent and experience.”
Do you think Royce has what it takes to make a successful comeback on February 19th at Bellator 149? Sound off below!
