Ben Askren blasts the UFC for letting Michael Bisping fight just “3 weeks after being concussed”
Ben Askren put the Ultimate Fighting Championship on blast for allowing Michael Bisping to co-headline today’s UFC Fight Night 122 event in Shanghai, China.
Askren took to Twitter shortly following Bisping’s brutal first-round knockout loss to Kelvin Gastelum where he proceeded to criticize the UFC’s decision to let “The Count” fight just “3 weeks after being concussed”.
Great regulatory decision by @ufc to let @bisping to fight 3 weeks after being concussed

Michael Bisping had taken today’s fight with Kelvin Gastelum on extremely short-notice and was coming off a loss to Georges St-Pierre just three-weeks ago at UFC 217 where he surrendered his UFC middleweight championship.
The ONE Championship welterweight title holder, Ben Askren, recently retired from the sport of mixed martial arts, this after scoring a first-round TKO victory over Shinya Aoki.
Askren holds an undefeated record of 18-0 in mixed martial arts and claims he will only return to the cage for a super-fight to prove he is the best welterweight in the world.
“Funky” recently called out current UFC middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre to fight in the Canadian’s hometown of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
Do you think the UFC would consider signing Ben Askren to have a super fight with longtime welterweight title holder and current middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre? Who do you think would win in a fight between “Funky” and “Rush”?
