BJ Penn tops Anderson Silva’s list of all time greatest fighters

During Tuesday’s media teleconference call to promote UFC 162, longtime middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva (33-4 MMA, 16-0 UFC) was asked to name the four greatest fighters in MMA history, pound for pound:

“In my opinion, B.J. Penn is No. 1,” replied Silva. “And then Randy Couture, Chuck Liddell and then Royce Gracie.”

2. Randy Couture
3. Chuck Liddell
4. Royce Gracie

Anderson is set to put his belt on the line against Chris Weidman (9-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) next Saturday in the main event of UFC 162 live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
