Boxing Beat: Floyd Mayweather Jr. Interested In Buying L.A. Clippers
Following the recent Donald Sterling controversy, Team Money is expressing their interests in purchasing The Los Angeles Clippers, a popular NBA Franchise.
Floyd Mayweather Jr., who fights Marcos Maidana this weekend on pay-per-view, told the press recently, at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, that he and some investors are very interested in buying the team.
Via USA Today:
“I can’t come in here talking about Mayweather only going to get 3% or 4%,” Mayweather, a huge Clippers and Los Angeles Lakers fan. I got to get a solid percentage.
“But do we want to buy the Clippers? Yes we do. We’re very, very interested in buying the Clippers.”
The current owner of the team will likely be forced to sell following a lifetime ban from the NBA.
