Brendan Allen and Paul Craig had an intense final faceoff ahead of their UFC Vegas 82 main event fight. Allen enters the fight as a sizeable betting favorite, but in the lead-up, both have been oozing with confidence that they will finish one another. At the faceoff, Craig got right into Allen’s face, so the American told him to keep the same energy on fight night and not just be pulling guard which is a move Craig does often.

UFC middleweight Brendan Allen has hinted at Khamzat Chimaev vs Jared Cannonier being booked in the near future. Following his win over Marvin Vettori earlier this month, Jared Cannonier made it clear that he still wants to pursue the UFC middleweight championship. However, there wasn’t a clear route back to the top for him, even with the Vettori win.
Jack Hermansson forced out of slated main event fight with Brendan Allen

Jack Hermansson will no longer be headlining the June 3 UFC fight card. According to MMA Mania’s Alex Behunin, Hermansson has suffered an injury and was forced to pull out of his main event scrap against Brendan Allen. At this time, it’s uncertain if the fight will be rebooked or if the UFC will be searching for a new opponent to face Allen on about five weeks’ notice.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC Vegas 70 event, an eleven-bout fight card headlined by Brendan Allen vs. Andre Muniz. Tonight’s middleweight main event proved to be a coming out party for Brendan Allen. ‘All In’ was able to get the better of the striking battle with Muniz in rounds one and two and was also able to get the fight to the floor with a timely takedown. Then, in round three, Allen was able to secure another big takedown and promptly went on to secure a rear-naked choke finish.

Muniz (23-4 MMA) will enter the bout sporting a nine-fight winning streak, his latest being a unanimous decision victory over Uriah Hall in July of last year. ‘Sergipano’ has gone a perfect 5-0 thus far in his UFC career.
