Brock Lesnar is ‘absolutely’ interested in a rematch with Cain Velasquez

By Chris Taylor - July 10, 2016

Former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar made a successful return to the octagon at last night’s UFC 200 event in Las Vegas scoring a unanimous decision victory over former title challenger Mark Hunt.

Earlier that evening at UFC 200, former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez scored a first-round knockout victory over Travis Browne.

Lesnar was asked what he thought of a potential rematch with Cain Velasquez during the UFC 200 post-fight press conference. Here is what he had to say:

“He (Cain) looked good tonight. Sure (I would like to fight him), absolutely! Yea. Obviously I trained specifically for Mark Hunt. I mean I trained for six weeks for Mark Hunt. And if I decided I was to do this a little further, would I have to sharpen some skills? Absolutely. But yea, Cain looked really good tonight. He always looks good.”

He continued:

“I believe any man can do whatever he wants if he puts his mind to it. I’ve been out of this game for five years and I stepped back in the cage after training for six weeks and I think I put a good beating on Mark Hunt tonight. Anything is possible isn’t it?”
