Fast rising UFC bantamweight contender Bryan Caraway (21-7 MMA) has been forced out of next weekend’s UFC Fight Night 103 event in Phoenix, Arizona.

Caraway suffered an undisclosed injury in training and will no longer be able to compete at the January 15 event according to MMAJunkie.

Bryan Caraway was expected to face surging division contender Jimmie Rivera (20-1 MMA) on the evenings main card.

UFC officials are currently in search of a new opponent for Rivera, but no replacement has been named as of this time.

UFC Fight Night 103 is headlined by a featherweight bout between former UFC two division champion BJ Penn and highly touted prospect Yair Rodriguez.
