Calvin Kattar will finally make his return to the Octagon in the main event of UFC Vegas 46. Kattar last fought back in January of 2021 on the first card of the year and suffered a decision loss to Max Holloway. In the fight, Kattar absorbed 445 significant strikes and after the fight, his head coach, Tyson Chartier said they wanted him to take a full year off which is what happened.

Chikadze has been pushing for a big-name opponent, and he was calling out the likes of UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski and former champ Max Holloway. In the end, Chikadze has been booked to fight a top-five opponent in Kattar next. The two featherweights are being targeted to meet in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card on January 15, 2022. Holloway shattered the previous record for significant strikes landed in a fight as he absolutely took it to Kattar for 25 minutes. At the end of five rounds, Holloway took home the unanimous decision as he re-emerged as perhaps the featherweight division’s premier fighter.
