Cat Zingano makes strong case for title shot
This past Saturday the UFC women’s bantamweight division was shaken up as Miesha Tate defeated Holly Holm via 5th round submission in the co-main event of UFC 196.
Following the fight UFC President Dana White revealed that Tate would now face Ronda Rousey in a trilogy match when the former champ was ready to return to the Octagon.
Despite that, former champion Holly Holm asked Tate for a rematch at UFC 200 following the loss given that neither woman faces a medical suspension. With that being said, there is another top ranked woman who wants a crack at Tate, Cat Zingano.
Zingano defeated Tate via TKO back at the TUF 17 Finale in 2013, and is looking to use that to get a crack at Tate’s championship.
