“The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung is slated to return to the cage in the main event of the UFC’s debut in Busan, South Korea this weekend. While he’s been forced to deal with a last-minute opponent change for this UFC Busan card — Frankie Edgar has stepped in to replace the injured Brian Ortega — it doesn’t seemed to have joggled his preparation. As a recent Instagram post proves, the Korean Zombie is in phenomenal shape ahead of the card.

Frankie Edgar was expected to make his bantamweight debut opposite Cory Sandhagen at UFC Raleigh in late January. When he was asked to replace the injured Brian Ortega against the injured “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, however, he accepted. He’s now scheduled to meet the undead Korean in the main event of UFC Busan on December 21, while a frustrated Sandhagen has been left without the high-profile dance partner he was expecting.

Frankie Edgar released a statement after it was confirmed he will replace Brian Ortega and fight Chan Sung Jung on Saturday December 21 at UFC Fight Night 165. Ortega was scheduled to face “The Korean Zombie” in the main event of UFC Busan. ESPN’s Ariel Helwani reported that the Californian was out of the fight due to an undisclosed injury.

Ortega, who has not fought since losing to Max Holloway at UFC 231 last December, was scheduled to fight Chan Sung Jung aka The Korean Zombie at UFC Busan on Dec. 21. In fact, the Korean Zombie has caused something of a domino effect at featherweight, as his recent opponent Yair Rodriguez has also taken a big climb up the ranks, while a host of others have dropped down two or three spots each.

In the main event, Chan Sung Jung, AKA “The Korean Zombie” was back after the last second knockout loss he suffered to Yair Rodriguez in November. He was taking on Brazil’s Renato Moicano, who was coming off of a TKO loss to Jose Aldo. The fight did not last long as The Korean Zombie finished Moicano with a massive right hand and some followup ground strikes in just 58 seconds.
