UFC welterweight contender Chris Curtis has hit back at Raul Rosas Jr. ‘The Action Man’ is slated to return this Saturday night on the prelims of UFC 287. Curtis will face former title challenger Kelvin Gastelum at the event, and enters the bout riding a wave of momentum. Since joining the UFC in 2021, he’s gone 4-1 with three wins coming by way of finish.

Chris Curtis figured he would have to be the aggressor against Joaquin Buckley at UFC 282. When the fight was offered, Curtis was surprised as he didn’t understand why Buckley even called him out. But, once he started training camp, he says the plan was to be the aggressor and force Buckley to be active and likely gas out later in the fight.

Strickland and Cannonier were supposed to fight in October but the bout was rescheduled due to Strickland’s finger being infected. Although the two have more time to prepare for one another, Curtis and everyone at Xtreme Couture after confident Strickland will get his hand raised if he fights smart. Yet, that is the big question of if he will fight smart.

UFC middleweight Chris Curtis shared some advice for Israel Adesanya on how to beat Alex Pereira in their rematch. Pereira continues to haunt Adesanya’s career after the Brazilian took out the long-time champ by TKO at UFC 281. The victory moved Pereira to 3-0 over Adesanya, 1-0 in MMA. The previous two wins came in Kickboxing in 2016 and 2017. In the first meeting, Pereira scored a unanimous decision, but in the second, he separated Adesanya from consciousness.

Chris Curtis is hoping to fight Kelvin Gastelum his next time out. Curtis improved to 3-0 in the Octagon at UFC Vegas 57, as he beat Rodolfo Vieira by decision in a fight that saw him defend 20 takedown attempts. Although Curtis got the win, he didn’t get the finish which is something he wanted.
