Luke Rockhold sends Chris Weidman a message
UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold and former champion Chris Weidman have had a highly competitive rivalry and were set to rematch for the title at UFC 199.
Unfortunately on Tuesday, news broke that Weidman was forced to pull out of their bout scheduled for June 4 and the UFC has been scrambling to find an opponent for Rockhold with less than three weeks notice.
Despite their competitive rivalry, Rockhold sent Weidman a message following news of his injury. Rockhold said in a tweet, “@ChrisWeidmanUFC heal up. Hopefully I’ll see you down the line. As for #ufc199 stay tuned. Hmmm”
