Claudia Gadelha details what happened in off-camera fight with Joanna Jedrzejczyk

By Russell Ess - June 16, 2016

Strawweight rivals Claudia Gadelha and Joanna Jedrzejczyk have been in each other’s faces for the entire season of TUF 23.

The two are set to rematch, this time for Jedrzejczyk’s UFC strawweight title after the two fought to a split-decision back in 2014, with Jedrzejczyk walking out with the victory.

During the filming of this season’s “The Ultimate Fighter,” Gadelha and Jedrzejczyk got into a scrap when the cameras were not filming and Gadelha spoke with MMA Junkie about the incident and what went down.

“It was something really fast, Gadelha said. “Every time we meet each other inside the gym, somebody was behind us, you know? So this time it was only me and her. We crossed each other and she said, ‘What up?’ and I said, ‘What do you want?’ And she started saying things, very disrespectful things, and she did like this to me (gave the middle finger) and I said ‘you should put that somewhere else.’

“She got upset and threw a bottle at me, a water bottle at me. And she got really mad and she ran at me and said ‘Do you want to fight?’ and I said, ‘Yeah, I want to fight!’

“She got very close to me but didn’t do anything. So I pushed her and she pushed me back. When she pushed me back I kicked her in the ribs. Then someone hold me and held her and the fight stopped right there.”

The girls just can’t wait till July 8 to fight! Who are you picking to win the title fight between champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and contender Claudia Gadelha? Share your pick with us in the comment section!
