Phil Brooks, who is better know as the former WWE superstar CM Punk is just a little over a week away from making his professional mixed martial arts debut.

Brooks will face 2-0 Mickey Gall at UFC 203 on September 10 where a heavyweight bout will serve as the main even where UFC heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic will look to defend his title for the first time against contender Alistair Overeem.

With Brooks’ highly anticipated debut, the UFC has put together a series featuring the former WWE star.

Check out the latest episode of “The Evolution of Punk: Hurt.”

From the video description:

“After months of rehabbing a shoulder injury, CM Punk is eager to get back in the gym. Once he’s finally cleared to train again, Punk makes positive strides and learns the name of his first opponent in the UFC. He also takes a fan comic book shopping and celebrates Christmas with his wife.”

In regards to how much he has evolved as a fighter from when they started filming “The Evolution of Punk,” Brooks said that everyone will see a totally different fighter that will step into the cage on September 10 against Gall.

“It would be like me watching one of Mickey’s fights and expecting to fight that guy,” Punk said. “Mickey trains his ass off and he trains with a good team. He’s not gonna be the same guy he was in his last fight, just like I’m not gonna be the same guy you saw on a television show.”
