VIDEO | Mike Jackson Wants to Knock CM Punk Out at UFC 225 Then Get a Deep Dish Recommendation
In the middle of the afternoon yesterday, CM Punk dropped one of his signature pipe bombs, only he wasn’t sitting crossed-legged on top of a WWE entrance ramp. Instead, Punk dropped news on Twitter that he’d fighting at UFC 225. While there was some rumors about CM Punk fighting Floyd Mayweather, let’s be honest: Fighting Mike ‘The Truth’ Jackson is far more likely and he’s been pushing it like nobody else.
“I haven’t been in contact with [the UFC] directly. I have several close personal friends in the organization, including UFC matchmaker Mick Maynard and some other affiliates. We’ve had brief conversations, nothing is set in stone. For me, it’s just a waiting game. […] I’ve been in contact with his coach Duke Roufus. It was very small, but when I talked to him I told him I was going to smack his man in his face for talking a little reckless.”
“@Luchaman0miedo So when are we gonna see you cry again in the Octagon? 😂 @CMPunk“
“@CMPunk June nine, after I win and lock eyes with my beautiful wife, embrace my coaches and shout out my entire team” pic.twitter.com/969vYB0xWH

“I think it will be the biggest fight for him. Let’s make money, Dana [White]. It’s styles, it’s personalities, it’s someone who’s gonna sell a fight and make the company money. Look Phil, no one else makes this. You say you wanna do this, let’s do it. What is it, June 9th in Chicago, Illinois. Your hometown? After I knock you out, I want the best Chicago pie recommendation from Phil Brooks. His memory is going to be so far gone, when we going out to eat pizza, he’s taking me to his favorite childhood spot.” — Mike Jackson speaking to TMZ Sports.
After Jackson lost his UFC debut to Mickey Gall, he also lost his shot to fight CM Punk aka Phil Brooks. Ever since Punk’s embarrassing loss, he’s been shooting his shot to get that fight. Nearly a year ago, he even shot a pro wrestling style promo to get the former WWE champ’s attention. Coming back to the Octagon, it’s hard to imagine a fighter that makes sense. We’re just telling ‘The Truth’.
