“I’ve got ties to both of them, so it’s kind of hard. I’m going to go with Cody [Garbrandt] on that one. He’s got that thumper, boy. He’s got that thumper and he believes in it. So, I think if he can crack him, especially before TJ [Dillashaw] gets warm, get his feet set — you know, TJ does move his feet around a lot. I don’t know, I think Cody might be able to crack him.” — Kevin Lee

Out of 19 UFC fighters, 10 of them picked Cody Garbrandt to retain, while half of that though TJ Dillashaw was going to get his belt back. Four people thought it was too tough to call. One of the best breakdowns of the fight was from former interim light heavyweight title challenger, Ovince Saint Preux. He thinks whoever got he better of them in the gym, will come out on top at UFC 217. After Garbrandt released that infamous knockdown tape, it will be interesting to see how it call plays out tonight.

“Oh man, they gotta’ a lot [of history]. They know each other. That’s all I can say. They know each other so, it’s going to be funny to see what happens. Usually when you know each other and you know each other’s habits, I don’t think Cody [Garbrandt]’s going to back up at all. I don’t think TJ [Dillashaw]’s going to back up. It depends. Whoever used to get the best of each other in practice, I think that’s what it comes down to. Whoever used to get the best of each other in practice. I know they don’t train [together] anymore, but if Cody used to get the best of TJ in practice, he’ll remember that. And there’s going to be particular things and situations he don’t want to be in. And Cody hits really hard for his weight class. Really, really hard. Everybody’s seen that, so it’s should be quite interesting.  Ovince Saint Preux
