The UFC 272 edition of The Thrill & The Agony shows Jorge Masvidal’s emotional reaction to his main event defeat. Following years of conflict, Jorge Masvidal and Colby Covington finally settled the score earlier this month at UFC 272. While Masvidal did manage to get some nice shots in, it was Covington who ultimately came out on top with a convincing unanimous decision triumph over his former best friend.

Colby Covington has shown off his new King of Miami belt after beating Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272. In the lead-up to his welterweight grudge match against Masvidal at UFC 272, he said they were fighting for the title of ‘King of Miami’. After he dominated ‘Gamebred’ from bell to bell and won a clear-cut decision he revealed he was getting a King of Miami belt which has now arrived.

Colby Covington agrees with Chael Sonnen that he should be next for Israel Adesanya. Covington is coming off a dominant win over Jorge Masvidal and after the event, Sonnen said the fight that made the most sense is ‘Chaos’ vs. Adesanya. He believed it would be a massive pay-per-view success and given ‘The Last Stylebender’ has basically cleared out the middleweight division the timing worked. According to Covington, he says he would be interested in it and believes the scrap makes a ton of sense.

Colby Covington believes he beat Kamaru Usman twice and thus has expressed interested in fighting ‘cardio kickboxer’ Israel Adesanya. Covington is coming off a decision win over Jorge Masvidal at UFC 272 and after the event, Chael Sonnen said he thought ‘Chaos’ vs. Adesanya made sense. For Covington, he says he would take that fight as he knows ‘The Last Stylebender’ doesn’t have many options. It’s also a scrap that makes sense given Covington says he’s 2-0 against Adesanya’s friend in Usman.

Colby Covington is going to be getting a belt this weekend as a reward for defeating Jorge Masvidal and it’s going to be BIG. At least that’s according to ‘Chaos’. UFC 272 featured Colby Covington vs Jorge Masvidal in the welterweight main event on March 5th, 2022 at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. It was to be Covington (17-3 MMA) defeating Masvidal (35-16 MMA) by unanimous decision with scores of 49-46, 50-44 and 50-45.
