Dustin Poirier had some fun on Twitter following Colby Covington’s callout. UFC 272 wrapped up with a welterweight grudge match between Covington and Jorge Masvidal. The former friends and training partners battled for five rounds and while Masvidal had some moments, the night belonged to “Chaos.” All three judges scored the fight for Covington.

Colby Covington is adding insult to injury following his mostly one-sided victory over Jorge Masvidal. Covington and Masvidal took center stage in the UFC 272 headliner. The action emanated from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. As the oddsmakers expected, Covington used his pressure and grappling to keep Masvidal grounded for the most part. “Chaos” got the nod from all three judges.

The main event of UFC 272 saw Masvidal and Covington share the Octagon inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. “Gamebred” had his moments in the fight but the pressure and wrestling of Colby gave Masvidal fits. Ultimately, it was “Chaos” who got his hand raised at UFC 272 via unanimous decision.

The grudge match headlined UFC 272 inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight had some exciting moments but it ultimately played out how the oddsmakers thought it would.

The Octagon remained in Nevada for tonight’s UFC 272 event, a thirteen-bout fight card headlined by Colby Covington vs. Jorge Masvidal. The highly anticipated welterweight main event resulted in a twenty-five minute battle. Covington was able to utilize his strong wrestling to control a large portion of the rounds on the ground. However, in round four Jorge Masvidal connected with a right hand that momentarily dropped ‘Chaos’. Unfortunately for fans of ‘Gamebred’ that success was short lived as Covington recovered and proceeded to go on to dominate round five. After five hard-fought rounds Colby got the win.

Jorge Masvidal may be looking for another flying knee KO. At UFC 239, Masvidal fought his rival in Ben Askren and landed a flying knee KO in five seconds. In the lead-up to the fight, “Gamebred” made it clear he didn’t like Askren, and in the lead-up, to this bout against Covington he has reminded “Chaos” the last person he generally didn’t like he KO’d in five seconds.

Colby Covington has hit back at Tai Tuivasa’s claim that he called the cops on Fabricio Werdum after their boomerang incident. In the immediate aftermath of his win over Demian Maia down in Brazil, all the way back in 2017, Colby Covington thought it’d be a good idea to get on the mic and call the nation “a dump”. The Brazilians in attendance, understandably, didn’t take too kindly to those remarks, and haven’t let go of that grudge since.
