UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman has mocked rival Colby Covington’s accusation that he’s on EPO. Throughout the entirety of their feud, Colby Covington has been more than happy to conduct a character assassination on Kamaru Usman. The pair have met twice and while Covington was incredibly competitive in both fights, Usman was the one who walked away with his hand raised and the title intact.

Prior to the fight, Poirier (28-7 MMA) was listed as the betting favorite with many fans predicting he’d be victorious over Oliveira (32-8 MMA). However that was not to be, as ‘The Diamond’ fell short after suffering a third round submission loss.

Yet for Covington, he thinks he would halt all of Chimaev’s hype and beat him badly, and possibly derail his career.

UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington explained why champion Kamaru Usman did not deserve 10-8 round in their rematch at UFC 268. Covington lost a unanimous decision to Usman earlier this month at UFC 268 in what was a very competitive fight between the two rivals. While most of the rounds were close, the second round is the one where Usman appeared to take the lead as he knocked Covington down twice. However, none of the three judges cageside gave Usman a 10-8 round, so when fans and the media on social media gave him a 10-8, Covington disagreed with them.

In the wake of his defeat to Kamaru Usman, many have been wondering what’s next for Colby Covington. As opposed to moving up or down a weight class, though, Covington has made it clear that he wants to stay at 170 pounds and attempt to work his way back to the title.

It’s a big downfall.” Covington is coming off of a close loss to UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman in their rematch at UFC 268 earlier this month. McGregor, meanwhile, hasn’t competed since breaking his leg against Dustin Poirier in their trilogy fight back at UFC 264 in August. Covington gave Usman all he could handle when the pair met earlier this month in their rematch that headlined UFC 268. Much like their first encounter back at UFC 245 two years ago, this rematch was a competitive fight that saw both men have their moments. However, it was Usman who was awarded the decision on the judges’ scorecards following the match, and he is now a perfect 2-0 against Covington. Despite Usman having the superior record head-to-head against his rival, Covington still wants to fight him again.

Colby Covington still believes he beat UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman at UFC 268, and he is calling for a trilogy match. Covington and Usman met earlier this month in the main event of UFC 268 and the fight turned out to be a back-and-forth war, much like their first meeting back at UFC 245. In the first fight, Usman won the fight via fifth-round TKO. This time around, the fight was closer, but it was still Usman who ended up winning via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. But if you ask Covington, he should have been named as the fight’s winner.
