UFC President Dana White recently attended a Donald Trump campaign rally, along with UFC stars Colby Covington, Henry Cejudo and Justin Gaethje. During his speech, Trump sang the praises of White, who he has long considered a friend, and also gave some shoutouts to Covington, Cejudo and Gaethje.

President Donald Trump has given Colby Covington his official endorsement ahead of his fight against Tyron Woodley this weekend. Covington is set to finally lock horns with Woodley after years of the two rivals going back and forth at one other – whether it be on social media or in interviews. Covington is attempting to bounce back from his Welterweight Championship defeat to Kamaru Usman whereas Woodley has suffered back-to-back defeats against Usman and the new number one contender Gilbert Burns.

After Jacob Blake, an unarmed black man, was killed by police officers in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Sunday, several NBA teams, including James’ LA Lakers, have voted to boycott their upcoming games in an act of protest.

The UFC made it official this weekend that Covington and Woodley will throw down on September 19. The two will meet in a five-round main event at a UFC Fight Night card in Las Vegas. For these two rivals who have been champing at the bit to punch each other in the face for the last few years, this matchup has been a long time coming, to say the least.

And on September 19, the grudge match between Colby Covington and Tyron Woodley finally goes down. All three of these UFC cards are set to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Yet, a scrap between them never came to fruition due to different reasons. But, they are now reported to meet in the main event of an ESPN card on Sept. 19.

Colby Covington has some choice words for Jorge Masvidal, who recently requested a rematch with UFC welterweight champ Kamaru Usman. Masvidal challenged Usman for the UFC welterweight title at UFC 251 earlier this month. He accepted the fight on six days’ notice, replacing Usman’s originally slated foe Gilbert Burns, who tested positive for COVID-19.

UFC welterweight contender Colby Covington believes he hasn’t been booked for another fight yet because the UFC “hates” him and holds a “grudge” against him. Covington hasn’t fought since UFC 245 last December when he suffered a fifth-round TKO loss to Kamaru Usman in the last round of their epic welterweight title fight. Since then, Covington has remained on the sidelines without an opponent, though a week doesn’t go by where he isn’t busy calling one of the top contenders at 170lbs out.

Tyron Woodley has made it clear that he is willing to fight Colby Covington, just not in August. On Wednesday night, Covington posted a signed bout agreement for a fight against Woodley on August 22. Yet, he claimed the former champ turned him down once again. According to Woodley, he says he is not ready to fight then, but will gladly fight him in the fall.
